Hi all! I have a pair of what I thought were mollies. The female I am sure of, but the male was sold to me as a Platy early on, and now I am unsure. The male is clearly exhibiting mating behaviour on the Dalmation Molly. In particular, he is chasing her around that tank and shoving his fin underne..
« Not successfully. I recommend you pick up a couple of female Platys for your male to chase. Your Molly will not have much peace until then. NetMax »

One of my mollies has had her baby fish. I have them in a breeding net. Just wondering how long i should wait until i move them to another tank i have set up. Thanks for the help
« I usually move my newborns to a nursery tank as soon as I see and can catch them. This goes for all my livebearers (mollies, guppies, swordtails & platies). Just make sure that the water levels .. »

i just got four female balloon mollies and 2 males, i just want to know how to tell when they are about to give birth. 2 of the females are huge but i don't know when they will have them. does anyone know how to tell and when i should move them in to a breeding trap.

mollies - I have 2 freshwater tanks and I would like to add a few more fish to them. Both tanks are 20 gallons and have a few small plants in them. Tank 1 has a 2 inch blue gourami, a 1.5 inch peppered cory, a 2 inch tetra of some sort, and a 3 inch kuhli loach..

are mollies passive? - hi,, i recently added three common black mollies to my tank. the guy at the store said they are not agressive. one of them is constantly chasing the others. I don't know if he's being agressive or trying to mate, or what. but it looks like he's tryin...
